Title: How we work: from start sprint to software that runs | AI Heroes
URL: https://aiheroes.io/en/how-we-work
Description: How AI Heroes works: a six-day start sprint from €8,000, a decision based on the business case, building in two-week sprints, then maintenance and further development. Business case, compliance and training included.

# Six days first. Then a decision. Then a build.

From ambition to implementation. This is how every project runs, from the first call to software that runs and keeps running.

- 6 days: start sprint, fixed price
- 2 weeks: from the first call to the start
- 24 hours: and you hear from us

## The process in one view

Per step: what happens, what we need from you and what you get.

1. Within two weeks · Start sprint · Six days, fixed price, from €8,000. We work with the owner and the users on a prototype or a plan. [About the start sprint](https://aiheroes.io/en/start-sprint). · You bring: the owner and a few users. You get: a prototype or build plan.
2. Day six · Decision · Based on the one-page business case you decide: build, adjust or stop. If the business case does not add up, we do not build. [Cost and return up front](https://aiheroes.io/en/business-case). · You get: cost, return and payback time on paper.
3. Week 2 to 12 · Building in sprints · Two-week sprints, with a demo after every sprint. Compliance, logging and oversight are part of the design. A build starts from €15,000. · You bring: one contact person and feedback after each demo.
4. Go-live · Switching over with a trained team · Your team is trained on the system itself, on the job. When we replace something, the old system is only switched off once the new one runs. · You get: a team that works with it every day.
5. After that · We keep maintaining and developing it · The software stays in our care. Everything is documented and you can switch AI models without rebuilding. · You get: software that keeps working and grows with you.

## Included in every build

Four things are part of every build. You do not pay for them separately and you do not have to ask for them.

- [Business case first](https://aiheroes.io/en/business-case) · Before we build, you know what it costs, what it returns and when it pays for itself. · Cost and return up front
- [Compliance by design](https://aiheroes.io/en/compliance) · AI Act classification, logging, human oversight and European hosting are part of the design. Security reviews are part of the process. · Compliance and security
- [Your people can work with it](https://aiheroes.io/en/training) · We train the team on the system itself and guide the roll-out until it is part of daily work. That also covers Article 4 of the AI Act. · AI training for your team
- Not tied to one AI vendor · Our builds are model-agnostic and everything is documented. When a better or cheaper model comes along, you switch without rebuilding.

## What it costs

These are the prices we publish. At the end of the start sprint you have the cost of your build on paper.

- €8,000: six-day start sprint, fixed price
- €15,000: starting price of a build
- €2,500: starting price per half day of standalone training

## What we stick to

- If AI is not the answer, we say so · Sometimes simpler software, a different way of working or doing nothing is better. Then we tell you.
- If the business case does not add up, we do not build · We only build what pays for itself. The decision is yours, with the numbers on the table.
- A reply within 24 hours · After your request you hear from us within 24 hours, usually with a proposal for a start sprint.
- Start within two weeks · After the first call, the start sprint can begin within two weeks.

## Who you talk to

Three founders, each responsible for part of the process.

- Co-Founder, business case and strategy · Frans Hoorn · Frans leads the start sprint and the business case: what it costs, what it returns and when it pays for itself. He combines strategic thinking with a sharp eye for how people actually use software.
- Co-Founder, software and compliance · David Homan · David leads the build, from prototype to a system that runs in your own landscape. AI Act classification, logging, security and hosting are built into the design from the start.
- Co-Founder, training and adoption · Jan Brusse · Jan makes sure the team that will use a system can actually work with it, with training on the system itself, on the work floor. He makes technology accessible, from AI literacy to the board session on digital sovereignty.
