On our own servers, within Europe? Yes.
AI and software on your own servers or with a European provider, connected to your systems and with the AI Act in the design. We do it ourselves too: the assistant on this site runs in Europe.
- to hosting design and risk assessment
- 6 days
- from, a fixed price per start sprint
- €8,000
Why this matters
For many organisations, where the data lives is a requirement: in tenders, with health data or with sensitive customer data.
-
The CLOUD Act
US companies can be required to hand over data, even when it is stored in Europe. That includes ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI and AWS Bedrock.
-
European rules
The GDPR and the AI Act require you to know where your data is, who has access and how an AI system reaches an outcome.
-
A choice with the facts on the table
Running it yourself is an option we put next to the cloud. You choose, with the costs and risks of both on a single page.
Three options
-
On your own hardware
A language model and your software on your own servers. We train your administrators on the environment.
AI on your own servers -
In the European cloud
With a European provider, using European models such as those from Mistral or the open EuroLLM. We stay model-agnostic.
European hosting -
Switching over
From ChatGPT, Copilot or Azure OpenAI to a European alternative, without your team having to work differently.
European alternative to ChatGPT
Is it good enough?
For most business applications, yes: summarising, searching documents, answering customer questions, processing forms. In the start sprint we test it on your data and your questions.
If a European model is not good enough for your application, we tell you.
We do it too
Our own AI assistant, hosted in Europe
The assistant on this site answers questions from our own pages, with the source alongside. It runs on European infrastructure, makes clear that it is AI and hands you over to a person when it does not know the answer.
The model can be switched, and every new version first has to pass a fixed test set.
How the assistant worksWorking with us
From start sprint to maintenance
- Six days
Start sprint
Your environment mapped, a hosting design, a risk assessment and the business case. From €8,000, start within two weeks.
- In milestones
Building and migrating
We build or migrate next to what runs today, with a demo at every milestone. A build has a fixed price per project, from €15,000. What you paid for the start sprint is deducted from it.
- Go-live
Administrators trained
Your own administrators are trained on the environment before it goes live.
- After that
Maintenance and development
We keep maintaining and developing the system, documented and not tied to one AI vendor.
Included in every build
-
Business case first
Before we build, you know what it costs, what it returns and when it pays for itself.
-
Compliance by design
AI Act classification, logging, human oversight and European hosting are part of the design.
-
Your people can work with it
We train the team that will use the system on the system itself. That also covers Article 4 of the AI Act.
-
Not tied to one AI vendor
You can switch AI models without rebuilding. Everything comes with documentation.
What matters most here: the AI Act is part of the design. More under compliance and security.
Frequently asked questions
Are European models good enough?
For most business applications, yes: summarising, searching documents, answering customer questions, processing forms. In the start sprint we test it on your data and your questions. If a European model is not good enough for your application, we tell you.
What does a server of our own cost?
That depends on the number of users and what the model has to do. In the start sprint we put the costs of hardware, hosting and management in the business case, next to what the same application would cost in the cloud.
Why would I want to move away from US cloud?
The US CLOUD Act can require US companies to hand over data, even when it is stored in Europe. That also applies to services such as ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI and AWS Bedrock. For many organisations that is a problem with sensitive data or in tenders.
Can I get just a plan?
Yes. The start sprint delivers a hosting design, a risk assessment and the business case. Then you decide whether to go ahead.
Who maintains it?
We keep maintaining and developing the system. We train your own administrators on the environment, so they know what is running.
