First know what it returns. Then build.

Before we build, you know what it costs, what it returns and when it pays for itself. On one page, as the basis for your decision.

What is on the page

Five questions, answered in plain language. Enough for a board or management team to decide on.

  • Cost

What the build costs, and what maintenance, hosting and model use cost per year after that.

  • Return

What it returns in time, money or quality, calculated with your own numbers.

  • Payback time

When the investment has paid for itself, and what happens if results fall short.

  • Risks

What can go wrong: data, adoption, rules such as the AI Act, and how we deal with them.

  • Go or no‑go

Advice to build, adjust or stop. The decision is yours.

Why our estimates hold

We build ourselves. That is why our figures are based on what building really costs: hours, hosting, model use and maintenance.

If the business case does not add up, we do not build.

What does AI implementation cost?

A start sprint from €8,000, a build from €15,000 to well over €100,000. Read what drives the price.

Frequently asked questions

What does a business case cost?

When you have something concrete, it is part of the start sprint: six days, from €8,000, with a prototype or build plan included. An exploration for organisations without a concrete question yet is priced up front for your situation.

What if the answer is no?

Then we do not build, and you know why. Kwakkel BV decided not to build yet after the start sprint and keeps the prototype, the plan and the business case. That is an outcome too.

Where do you start if you have nothing concrete yet?

With an exploration: we go through your processes and rank the opportunities by return. You can also read where to start with AI in your organisation.

Who helps companies with an AI readiness scan?

AI Heroes in Groningen does this through an exploration: a readiness scan that ends with concrete candidates to build, with cost and return attached. Because we build ourselves, our figures reflect what building really costs.

How is this different from a consultancy firm?

We build ourselves. Our business case ends with something we can build, at its real cost. If AI is not the answer, we say so.

Who makes the business case?

Frans Hoorn, co‑founder. He leads the start sprint and the business case.
