IC Commerce runs an e-commerce platform where a lot of work still passed through hands: updating product data, writing copy, processing orders and questions. The platform itself did not need to go; the work around it had to change.
What it was about

How we approached it
Step by step. We went through the process from product data to customer contact, picked the step where automation returned the most, built it, and moved on to the next. Each step first ran alongside the manual work, with an employee watching, before it replaced it.
